How to: Be Your Own Best Friend

Janey stays up all night waiting for the infamous Pretty Boy Ricky to call. She falls asleep only to be transported to the mythical La Loba’s cave and begins the journey through her womanhood. With visits from past spirits, Janey experiences each piece of the cake with what it means to be a woman, and how to love yourself amidst it all.

Laura Ornella is a Brooklyn based artist originally from Ohio. As a trained actor, she focuses on performance art and immersive theater pieces. During her time at MoHA she wrote, designed, produced and acted in “How to: Be Your Own Best Friend.”

Laura Ornella es una artista originalmente de Ohio, que actualmente reside en Brooklyn. Como actriz entrenada, se enfoca en performance y piezas teatrales inmersivas. Durante su estancia en el MoHA ella escribió, diseño, produjo y actuó en “How to: Be Your Own Best Friend.”
