Like a Villain

Portland based experimental vocalist and clarinetist, Holland Andrews began performing as Like a Villain in 2009. Andrews’ uncommon brand of avant garde music is characterized by her dynamic voice, delving between opera, musical theatre and extended vocal techniques. The music of Like a Villain is emotionally captivating as well as it is, at times dark and dissonant. During her stay at MoHA, Andrews was able to focus on writing a new live set of music which is being used as material for an upcoming album. Holland also focused on deepening their comfort with improvised music by collaborating with various musicians in the Austin area. There were multiple opportunities where Holland was able to showcase and workshop the progress of her work at MoHA.

Like a Villain – Como Villana

Holland Andrews, la vocalista experimental y clarinetista basada en Portland, empezó a actuar como Like a Villan en el 2009.
